About
Saints Mary and Martha Antiochian Women is our parish’s local chapter of The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women of North America.
The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women of North America was founded in 1973 through the vision of His Eminence Metropolitan Philip (Saliba) of Thrice-Blessed Memory.
Our purpose is to develop among the women a spirit of Christian leadership, awareness, and commitment; to foster a genuine expression of love and service through works of charity; and to install a sense of fellowship and a deeper understanding of our Holy Orthodox Faith. We are a “Sisterhood Serving Christ Through Serving Others.”

Coffee Fellowship Group
Every week the ladies of Saints Mary and Martha meet for coffee as an opportunity to gather and fellowship to cultivate our sisterhood outside of Church services. Locations rotate between Boone and Jefferson.
Book Study Group
Join us for our monthly book study group! Saints Mary and Martha Antiochian Women are currently reading through Thirty Steps to Heaven which is available in our church bookstore or you can order online here.
Mother’s Blessing Showers
A time to shower an expectant or new mother with the gift of spiritual sisterhood! Separate from a traditional baby shower, this is a cozy morning or evening where the women of the parish come together to offer love, support, wisdom, and encouragement in preparation or celebration of the mother’s labors. All mothers who are a part of the parish will receive a blessing shower hosted by the Women’s group, coming together and honoring the Creator’s plan.
Feeding the Hungry
Serving food cooked by volunteers at our local Hunger and Health Coalitions at least once a year. All contributions are welcome whether it is donation for the ingredients, cooking pans of food, serving, or organizing volunteers. We also assemble homeless packets as part of our Lenten project every year to hand out to those we see in need in our community.
